Comarch Optima, connected to the rest of the business

Optima holds accounting and warehouse data, while an online store or sales system lives on its own. Someone retypes stock and pricing both ways every day. We connect them through Optima's API so data travels by itself.

What a Comarch Optima integration means

A Comarch Optima integration connects this system to other software a company already uses, an online store, a sales system, a WMS warehouse system, so data does not have to be entered separately in each one. We connect through the Comarch Optima API, the manufacturer's official interface for exchanging data with external software.

The most common flows are stock levels and pricing from Optima out to the store or sales system, and orders and sales documents from the store back into Optima as finished commercial documents. Both sides always show the same picture, with no window where the store's stock differs from the warehouse.

We are not a certified Comarch partner or integrator, and we will not describe ourselves that way. We build integrations through Comarch Optima's publicly available API, the way many independent contractors do, and we say so plainly before anyone asks.

How an implementation works

We start by checking which version of Optima you run and what API access you have, since that decides what can be built and how fast.

  1. 1We check the version and API accessComarch Optima has several ways to access data. We check which one you use and whether an API module needs to be purchased before we quote a timeline.
  2. 2We settle the direction and scope of dataStock levels, pricing, contacts, sales documents, we pick what you retype by hand today and settle whether data should flow only from Optima, only into it, or both ways.
  3. 3We build the connection and test it on your dataReal contacts, real stock levels, real documents, not a demo database, because that is where exceptions specific to your Optima setup show up.
  4. 4We run it in parallel, then switch over for goodFor a few days the connection runs alongside manual entry and results get compared. Only once they match do you stop entering data twice.

What this looks like in practice

Example (hypothetical)

A trading company runs its warehouse and wholesale in Comarch Optima and recently launched an online store on a separate platform. Today someone retypes current stock levels into the store by hand every morning, otherwise customers order stock that is already gone, and enters store orders back into Optima as sales documents every evening.

A connection through Optima's API syncs stock levels to the store several times a day, so customers always see accurate availability. Orders from the store land in Optima automatically as finished sales documents, with the right contact and line items, ready to fulfil without manual retyping.

How long an implementation takes

2 to 6 weeks

Shorter when you already have Optima's API module and the integration covers one direction of data, stock levels alone, for example. Longer when several document types need to flow both ways or API access needs to be set up from scratch.

Questions about the Comarch Optima integration

Are you a Comarch partner or certified integrator?
No. We build integrations through Comarch Optima's publicly available API, the way many independent contractors do, but we are not a Comarch partner or certified by them. You can check the Comarch partner registry in under a minute.
Do we need an extra module in Optima?
It depends on your current version and package. Comarch's API is sometimes a separate module you need to buy. We check this on the first call and say plainly if something needs purchasing before quoting the project.
What systems do you most often connect Optima to?
Most often online stores, WMS warehouse systems, and sales or CRM systems. The pattern of the connection is similar regardless of the other side, so we tell you plainly if your particular platform has unusual limitations.
What happens if Comarch changes its API?
ERP vendors update their APIs, usually with backward compatibility, but not always. We leave a notification that speaks up when a connection stops working, and we roll the fix into a care plan if you have one.
Can more than one store or warehouse connect to the same Optima?
Yes, that is common with several sales channels. We always start with one connection, confirm it holds up on real data, and only then add further channels.
